The
gift of 51 million dollars by the Ecksteins to Marquette University Law School is a fantastic thing for the school and for Milwaukee in general. Congratulations to Fr. Wild, Dean Kearney and, most significantly, to the Ecksteins. Not only is the gift generous, it is intelligent in that it will make a significant difference to an institution that they quite clearly care about.
I was very happy to hear this as well. I graduated from MULS about a year ago, and with Kearney's leadership and certain other recent events, I felt like things were headed in the right direction at the law school. The facility was one of the problems holding things back, and it looks like that's going to change.
ReplyDeleteRick - what is the goal of this new or expanded school? Is there a shortage of lawyers? Is the quality or values of lawyers from Marquette better than others? If you get enough Marquette lawyers out there will they control the legal system?
ReplyDeleteCan you provide a little insight?
