Auto sanctimony

I didn't have my camera with me so I can't do an Althouse, but the Reddess and I were in Washington D.C. the past few days for a conference sponsored by the American Association of Law Schools. (More accurately I was. She was there because she likes the place.)

Walking through Adams- Morgan in about 164 degree heat, we saw a bumper sticker declaring that the car's owner had a "PBS mind in a Fox News World."

How precious and wonderful the owner must be. I felt privileged that he or she was moved to let us passersby know how special - how really superior - he or she is.

Fortunately, it was too hot to let the air out of the tires. But the hotel was air conditioned and Brit Hume was waiting.

Liberals have no monopoly of sanctimony or hubris, Rickie. Take a look at "Loofah Bill" O'Reilly, for example.

You want paranoia? Just listen to any of the right-wing yackers any time of the day or night!

You don't even have to leave Milwaukee to do it. Listen to Chieckenhawk Charlie Sykes or Belling for an hour!

It is humerous that people who decorate there vehicle with bumber stickers think they are of higher intellectual ability then someone that may listen to the news.

I'll keep that in mind everytime I see bumber stickers on someones car.

Actually, I can't tell you the last time my blog inflicted itself on an innocent passerby.

    Rick,

"PBS mindset in a Fox news world" doesn't necessarily smack of superiority. That's an assumption that may or may not be true. Attempting to take the statement at face value, I would say it just means that the person doesn't fit in with the (supposed) right wing news world.

I saw a fat woman driving a/an Hybrid southbound at Watertown at 45 yesterday. Her holier than thou Hybrid had about a dozen bumper stickers, including.....Ned Lamont, Liberal is not a dirty word, and one that just read LIBERAL.
She was sucking on a CANCER STICK.
Rick, D.C. is the Berkeley of the EAST. It's a MECCA (is Mecca an approved term? It has religious undertones.)for those who like Government to pay them, retire, them, health care them, as they opine that our country is FASCIST.
