Blues for a Sunday

We're on our way to Lambeau and I'm not very optimistic. The polls still depress me. So how about some Sunday blues?

The Allman Brothers see only one way out. That's something to hope for.

One of my favorites in Susan Tedeschi. Here's "Just Won't Burn."

You can't mention Susan without thinking of "Angel From Montgomery."

Susan is married to Derek Trucks who performs "Highway 61:Revisted" with Johnny Winter:

Best line:

God said "you can do what you want, Abe, but/
Next time you see me coming you better run

As I think about the likely election outcome, I too feel the blues, and I choose the following as the best line:

"He said i never engaged in this kind of thing before
But yes, i think it can be very easily done"

The Packers did it.
Can John do it?

The Pack certainly did do it - what a fun game to be at. Crowd was loud. The flyover was really late (but still so cool).

I won't comment on the other.

You know, for what it's worth, Derek, Susan, Warren, the whole gang...they're all noted liberals.

Don't be surprised if Derek Trucks Band plays at an Obama inaugural event.
