Megalo - obamania

I have no idea whether John McCain was in the "cone of silence" during Barack Obama's chat with Rick Warren and I don't much care. What I do find interesting is the fact that the Obama campaign has chosen to make the question such an issue.

There seem to be two difficulties for Obama. The first is that choosing to emphasize the issue is essentially a concession that McCain waxed him. People who did not and never will see the event now have the impression that both candidates sat down to discuss faith, morality and politics with a popular and apoliticial religious leader and that McCain was far more impressive.

The second is that it's another example of what seems to be a tendency to prickly arrogance on the part of Obama. You beat me? You must have cheated! Nothing else is conceivable.

Obama has thin skin. The media has protected him all along but it won't be able to continue to do so as we move deeper into the election. And the more flappable he appears, the less he'll be able to win votes based purely on his cool persona, which so long has allowed him to avoid any substance in his campaign.

Simply, as a far lefty Obama has to speak out of both sides of his mouth when McCain can give it to us straight.

Oh, you neocons are so funny! "McCain can give it to us straight". Please. I am laughing so hard, my sides hurt! Give it to us straight????? The man doesn't have a CLUE about anything!!!!! Great economy, we're winning the war (or did we win it back a few years ago).

And as far as the media protecting Obama, well, us lefty loony liberals think the media is protecting McCain.

But hey, I needed a good laugh today and I can always count on getting a good laugh reading "Shark and Shepherd".

anon 2:46,

What could possibly be funnier than "above my pay grade?" Clearly even he recognizes he doesn't have the chops to lead the country.

That phrase should be thrown in Obama's face every time he eludes a question for the next 2 months.

Precious.

At least you admit that you are loony. Good.

Rick is not a neocon however I agree with you that he has a good sense of humor (quite dry though). I know for a fact that he enjoys laughing at libs...oops I mean making libs such as yourself laugh.

That's "Anon 4:01" to you. Get it straight, unless being able to read is above your pay grade.

By the way, that was not directed at you, reddess. It was directed at Anon 2:46 and Anon 4:26, who I expect we'll hear from next at 6:42...

For someone who claims to enjoy a good laugh, you sure have a lousy sense of humor.
