A day without illegals

I don't know about the rest of you, but I seem to be weathering the "Day Without Immigrants" pretty well.

But it does suggest a question. When it comes to eavesdropping on suspected terrorists, our friends on the left seem to be scrupulous about distinguishing between "legal" and "illegal" eavesdropping. I may not think they get the distinction right, but they understand that somethings are permitted by the law and that others are not.

But when it comes to immigration, this "legality" stuff becomes too subtle. So we have a Day without "Immigrants" because, you know, legal or illegal, who can tell anyway?

But in case they ever want to get sophisticated, here is what a day without illegal immigrants might look like.

Sophisticated?? You can’t be serious.

Congressman Tancredo’s thought process suggests, if we sent other groups back to their country of origin (would he send the American Indians back across the Bering Strait), there would be “some plusses”. That is dangerous thinking.

Much of our illegal alien problem is due to our lawmaker’s impotence.
