Via the indispensable Brussels Journal
One of the great things about Europe is that it continually shows us where an untethered left would take us. In Holland, for example, we can watch militant feminism implode. A leading MP in the leftist Dutch Labour Party is proposing that stay-at-home Moms (and, she added later, Dads) be required to remimburse the state for the cost of their education which is presumably being frittered away on raising Dutch children. Her party, poised to actually take over the government, defends her, arguing that caring for one's family is "destruction of capital." What is bought by the collective is owned by the collective.
So, in the left's Amsterdam, you can sell your body, destroy it with drugs, even decide to kill your self with the state's assistance. But if you want to be the one who raises your children, you're going to have to pay.
